How We Use Your Information
Peninsula Ford Lincoln collects the information you provide to respond to your financing request, assess your application and help arrange vehicle financing or leasing. With your authorization, we may verify information with credit reporting agencies, employers and references, and share the information needed to assess your application with prospective lenders and financing service providers.
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We identify the purposes for collecting your information and seek your consent, except where collection, use or disclosure is permitted or required by law.
Identification and Credit Information
Identification, such as a driver's licence, may be needed to verify your identity or complete vehicle registration with the applicable provincial authority. A Social Insurance Number (SIN) is not required to submit this application. If a lender requests a SIN for credit identification, providing it is optional; ask the lender about alternative identification. Do not enter a SIN in a message or other free-text field.
Sharing and Protecting Your Information
We limit access to the dealership staff, prospective lenders and service providers who need your information for the purposes described above, or as otherwise authorized by you or required by law. Optional marketing consent is separate from your financing request.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask about our collection and use of your information, request access or corrections, or withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. Withdrawing information needed to assess your application may prevent us or a lender from processing it. Contact Peninsula Ford Lincoln through our contact page and review our Privacy Policy for more information.
